Eduardo Ramos is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies at ASU. He holds a Ph.D. in English from Penn State University and an M.A. in Medieval Icelandic Studies from the University of Iceland. He specializes in medieval English and Icelandic literature with a focus on cross-cultural contact and depictions of race. His current research examines contact between Scandinavians and the peoples of the Maghrib during the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. His work has appeared in Postmedieval, Comitatus, and What is North?: Imagining the North from Ancient Times to the Present Day.
