Mehdi Alioua

Mehdi Alioua is a sociologist and dean of Institute of Political Studies and an Associate Professor at the International University of Rabat. He holds an university chair “Migrations, Mobilités, Cosmopolitisme” and he is editor-in-chief of the academic journal “Afrique(s) en Mouvement”. His research focuses on cosmopolitanism, urban transformations, citizenship, racism, social movements, globalization and the various mobility regimes that produce it or are its products. A large part of his writings analyzes the socio-political transformations induced by migration in Mediterranean Africa.
