Dr. Nouhaidi Abdelaziz is an associate professor of cultural studies and colonial and postcolonial literature at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, Ain Chock, Hassan II University, Morocco. He earned his PhD in 2021 from the Moroccan Cultural Studies Centre at Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, Fes, under the supervision of Professor Khalid Bekkaoui. His doctoral research examined the journey of Muslim Slaves in the Christian Lands from 15th to 19thCentury.
Dr. Nouhaidi currently serves as the coordinator of the English Studies Department at Ain Chock Faculty, where he teaches different courses such as Introduction to Cultural Studies, Media and Cultural Studies, African Literature, Extensive Reading, and Guided Reading.
His research interests include slavery, Orientalism, Occidentalism, the historical encounters between North Africa and Europe, Moroccans beyond borders, and colonial and postcolonial literature.
